Safe at Home with Scott Dawson successfully partners the thrill of Baseball with the strength of local churches. Together they produce a post game event with music and a message that unites communities and changes lives. With a Safe at Home event…everyone’s a winner!

For many years, “Safe at Home” has been an effective and fruitful evangelistic outreach tool for SDEA. Partnering with minor league baseball teams across the Southeast, SDEA teams up with local churches in each team’s home city to present a day of America’s favorite pastime, followed by an opportunity to hear a popular sports figure share their testimony, an evangelistic message presented by Scott Dawson, and wrapped up with a concert by a popular Christian singer or band.

In recent years Major League Baseball and the NFL have taken an interest in the Safe at Home model for presenting a day of community family fun centered around faith.  This has given SDEA the opportunity to partner with the Kansas City Royals for their annual “Faith & Family Day”, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for “Faith & Football”, and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox for “Safe at Home” to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to sports fans in large sports venues.

We are also working with other organizations to take the Safe at Home outreach model into other cities, and look forward to the opportunities God will open for delivering the Gospel message to sports fans wherever door may open to do so.
